Disconnect: A Film on Cell Phones and Cancer is a feature-length documentary that tackles the cell phone radiation controversy and whether or not it can cause cancer. It features extensive research and interviews with leading scientists, doctors, politicians and industry experts. The film also looks at the rise of an unregulated wireless industry and its efforts to discredit any research and block any legislation that question the safety of mobile phones. Interviewees include Virgin Mobile’s Richard Branson, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, experts from the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the California Environmental Protection Agency, the Cellular Telecommunications Internet Association (CTIA), and others. Celebrities such as Lady Gage, Stephen Colbert, Brad Pitt, Beyonce Knowles, Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Aoki and more also offer their perspectives on the issue. Here’s a trailer from the film:

    The wireless industry is a pretty powerful group. They don’t mess around. This is a multi-billion industry and they will don everything in their power to make sure nothing jeopardizes their bottom line. They probably have learned what happened to the tobacco industry and they are making sure that there is no repeat of that in their case. The thing is, I like my cell phone. I just want to make sure that it is safe and that the industry is doing something about it in case it is not.
